Who is Simply Mentoring?
Welcome to Simply Mentoring
Since being a mentor to mortgage brokers; I have assisted them with their skills and competency training and also being a hands on resource to build their business.
I am a licensed working mortgage broker (1676), based in Western Australia operating with approximately 14 people attached to my license whom I train and mentor. I have been delivering the mortgage broking course at Perth TAFE for the last four years and have written the learning guides for the CERT IV course in mortgage broking.
My loan writing experience is in residential and commercial lending as well as personal loans.
My background is in training and development. I have travelled extensively with the Pacific Institute delivering effective thinking seminars and worked closely with the West Australian Education department to assist high school students think in more effective ways to achieve their potential.
I was a regular visitor to OSR in NSW and QLD delivering effective management seminars.
I hold an Associate Degree and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Training and Development. My passion is to see people who are already in the industry or entering the industry have the right skill sets, so that we continue to have appropriate professional development of the players in this industry and regulation within that framework.
During my five years at the aggregator Ballast as their Business Development Manager; the questions just kept coming and not only from new brokers. Very experienced brokers would also need that little extra from time to time.
This is where the concept for Simply Mentoring Broker Assist was born. The more I get asked; the more I realised that brokers need more help than is currently out there.
The feedback that I received as a BDM about lenders was that the helplines are all stretched to capacity and the wait times can be very lengthy.
This helped drive the concept of an email service. We all have different working hours in this business and sometimes when you are busy and call a lender help line, they have left for the day.
Email works; the request can come in anytime it suits the sender, and then the answer can be delivered
